The free school for the engineer inside you

Don't build a resume.Build a body of work.

Learn the whole stack, free. Ship what you build in public, every day — until the work speaks for you.

Free curriculum. Free profile. Forever.

The world has changed

AI writes the code. You direct the AI.

Code is no longer rare. AI writes it in every stack, in seconds. What's rare is the engineer who can direct it well — and that means being fluent across every layer.

Every tech graduate today needs to be an all-rounder. Not senior in every discipline, but proficient enough in each to know what to ask, what to verify, what to refuse. That's what CTO-grade looks like in 2026 — and that's what this school is for.

Your work, public.

One profile for everything you build.

Hackathon project. Lab assignment. Final-year capstone. The side project you have been hiding on GitHub. A learning from yesterday at 11pm. They all land on ctoschool.live/yourname, dated and public. From your first semester. Not just once you feel ready.

Every build lands here. Dated. Verifiable. Yours forever.

Every layer. Free.

The Zero-to-CTO curriculum, end to end.

From your first line of code to deploying a real product to leading a team that ships. Six phases. Every chapter open. Every repo readable. Every project brief downloadable. The roadmap your syllabus never gave you.

Phase 1

Foundation

How software is actually written. Code, version control, the workflow that ships everything else.

Phase 2

Build

Interfaces users can touch. The surfaces, the product layer, the front of the house.

Phase 3

Power

Power what you built. Servers, data, authentication — the engine room users don't see.

Phase 4

Intelligence

Products that learn and reason. Machine learning, modern AI, agentic systems.

Phase 5

Scale

Production-ready. Cloud, devops, observability, reliability at real-world scale.

Phase 6

Lead

Lead the technical organisation. Architecture, hiring, decisions. What the CTO actually does.

For those who want the live version

Some learners want the discipline of a real cohort, direct mentorship, and a demo day. For them, we run a small live program once or twice a year, by waitlist.

How the school works

Read. Build. Ship. Compound.

Four verbs. That is the whole school. Read the chapter. Build the project. Ship to your public profile. Watch your body of work compound over months into a credential nobody can argue with.

Where we draw the line

Ten commitments we won't break.

The discipline that protects the school from itself. Three of them here. The other seven at the link below.

No job guarantees

The job market is not ours to give. Any school that promises one is either lying or building a guarantee that will quietly disappear when placement season disappoints.

No urgency. No discounts. No “limited time.”

The price is the price. A learner who needs to be tricked into enrolling is a learner we cannot serve.

We do not gate our curriculum.

The full Zero-to-CTO roadmap is published in public, free, forever. Charging for it would defeat the point of the school.

Build proof.Become undeniable.

The school is open. The door is free. The proof is yours.

Free curriculum. Free profile. The cohort is optional — and the school is yours either way.
